Clementine The Amazing Contract
This contract between_________________________ and Clementine The Amazing is to serve as a mutual understanding and agreement. You may sign the bottom of this contract and mail it to Clementine, sign it electronically and email it to Clementine, or by paying your retainer online, which can serve as an electronic signature. Your party will not be added to the calendar without a signed contract, and retainer received.
Retainer
A 50% retainer is due at time of booking. If the client has not paid the retainer, the date and time slot may be given to someone else. A retainer is to retain an artist’s time, should you cancel it will be NON-REFUNDABLE. If the client reschedules then the retainer may be transferable, with artist availability.
The retainer can be paid for by check or credit card. An invoice for the retainer will be sent via PayPal and due upon delivery.

-Print invoice
-Mail invoice, and Check made payable to “Riann Lee” to 627 Baker St. Petaluma, Ca. 94952
Remaining Balance
The client agrees to pay the remaining balance before the artist begins, if the client is having a princess attend, the client agrees to pay her upon her arrival. The face paint artist takes time to set up, this is a great time to pay the balance, in order for her to start on time.
Balance can be paid by credit or cash. Cash is preferred, and easiest, although if the client would like to pay by check they can do so by making it payable to “Riann Lee”.
Gratuity
The cost of the party package does not include tip, we suggest the recommended amount of 15%-20%
Additional Time
Client understands that a timely departure is necessary in order for the performer/artist to safely commute to her or his next event. If a Client wishes a performer/artist to stay longer than the booked time, the Client must discreetly pull performer/artist away from the children and other guests and discuss the matter at least 15 minutes before the end of the event. Staying additional time is at the discretion of the performer.
Scheduling additional time 10 days before the event will result in the normal rate of added time.
When adding time during an event, the rate will be $60 per 30 minutes.
Photo Release
Any photos or videos taken are hereby signed as release to be used by Clementine The Amazing Face Painting or associates for website, social media, and promotional use.
When the client adds a professional photographer, photos will be sent with in 10 days of event.
Supervision of children
While at an event client agrees to keep children under control while around artist performer. Client agrees to keep the environment safe for all to have a wonderful time. No child should touch an artist’s tools.
The Performer/artist is responsible for the flow of the event and activities. The Client is responsible for monitoring disruptive behavior and attending to any child who does not want to participate.
Liability
The Client agrees to hold and keep harmless Clementine The Amazing Face Painting and any associates, from any and all property damages and/or bodily injury damage caused by the Client’s guests. Client agrees to not hold Clementine The Amazing responsible for inclement weather or other acts of God that may cause cancellation of the event. Clementine The Amazing is not liable for any damage or loss of property that may occur during the event. This signed contract is due prior to the date of the party.
Damage to costumes or equipment
We understand that accidents happen, however, the client may be held responsible for excessive damage sustained to costumes and property of Clementine The Amazing and/or Hope Love and Magic during Client’s event. The cost to replace/repair damaged/broken costumes or materials will be billed to the Client.
Allergies
The client is required to alert Clementine The Amazing prior to event time of any known allergies. Although our face paints are cosmetic grade, we use several brands, and can accommodate those who may have allergies.
Pets
All pets must be contained away from the party area.
Products used
Clementine The Amazing only uses cosmetic-grade water-based paints manufactured specifically for face and body art.
The glitter used is cosmetic grade, and made to be on the face and not irritate the eyes.
All of the artists wash and sanitize the tools and equipment before each event. Each artist is held to the highest hygiene standards when it comes to face painting.
At the event
-Arrival time- Clementine The Amazing and her artists/performers agree to arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to start time.
-Balance owed-While the artist is setting up, client agrees to pay balance.
-Set up- The artist will set up and bring all things necessary to entertain the children for the duration of time hired.
-Shade/Ample Lighting- Client agrees to supply artist with shade if outdoors, and ample lighting if indoors, for the full duration of time hired. If the client can not provide these accommodations then they can pay an additional $25 for artist to provide shade or lighting, at time of booking.
-Air Brush tattoos- Client must provide an electrical outlet within 25 feet from artist station.
-Food and Drink- The client agrees to keep food and drink away from artist’s working area. Certain foods can cause cross contamination in our paint, and will ruin them. Also, as much as your artists LOVE cake and cooked goodies, we agree NOT to eat during the hired time. We can take a plate to go, or eat if the event is longer than 3 hours.
-Time to pack up and leave- The client agrees to allow artist/performer to leave on time. It is the client’s responsibility to insure all children and guests respect the ending time. If an artist or performer is held up due to a guest, the client will be responsible for the additional time at a rate of $60 per 30 minutes.
The last child will be painted before the end time, and the artist will pack up and clean no sooner than the end or the contracted time.
